Tree in Island Park, Fargo, ND in infrared; red/blue channels swapped in photoshop.
This is the kind of image that got me interested in Infrared photography. I have more ideas that I hope will bring something new to the Infrared scene, but I'm still waiting for the right things to align for that.
the blurred areas are where the wind was blowing the branches. The exposure was over 8 seconds so any motion really shows up on the image.
That's what I thought the first time I saw photography like this, and then one day I saw a palm tree covered in frost, and I knew something was going on. Here is some more of my infrared photography. [link] Thank you very much for the favourite and the comment.
Thank you thank you. It's an easy one to pass up in the thumbnails because the leaves are so small. I owe a lot of credit to some of the artists here who introduced me to infrared photography. I plan to do a lot of these this summer.
I was thinking that too. It would be a sweet place to live closer too. I'd love to be able to walk around there without having to deal with downtown traffic. I was around the depot too, I got a neat shot of it, but I'm trying not to add too many at once. I've got about 30 photos, that I think I could add, but I'm trying to be really picky about them.
awww island park!!!! i miss that place as my backyard! great shot - i love the sun behind the tree too, and the composition is great...and i like the movement of the leaves from the wind! great shot!!!
